At Suntagma Square old and young people had the opportunity to visit our stands, learn about our project and actions, meet our Friends and play with the stilt Pipi Paf Pouf and do face painting by the IEK ALFA team.
With great joy and enthusiasm, our team of Ambassadors welcomed us to the event. Throughout our stay in Syntagma Square, the Communication Sponsor- Athens 9.84 Radio entertained us with Greek and English hits and all the participants and Buddies heard and performed together our unique song “FILARAKI” for the first time.
We saw an impressive spectacle from Capoeira Athens, where the participants had the pleasure of interacting and dancing with the team. People danced and had fun together with The Kabeira – Casa De Arte dance group that excited all the square with Latin palm.
We are also joined by the Quilombo group, who once again gave the pulse and signal for the start of our walk, under the protection of the Delta Rescue Team. The Ermou Street was filled with colorful banners with slogans of love and acceptance of diversity. After all, the purpose of our Walk is to spread the message that “Friendship is a gift” and we support young people with intellectual and developmental difficulties.
Arriving at Monastiraki Square, more people gathered and all together we closed this beautiful day with a big hug and the hope that the future will be without discrimination or social exclusions for people with disabilities.
We are all grateful for the huge participate of volunteers and walkers, for the support of the companies and the embrace of everyone in our event. We look forward to meeting you all together again in future actions with the aim of social inclusion and acceptance.
