A Day Full of Smiles, Hugs, and the Message of Inclusion and Friendship!
Throughout the year, the team of Best Buddies Greece worked with love and creativity to create a unique symbol: the Bells of Friendship. A symbol born from our need to reach out to those around us and remind them that friendship, acceptance, and inclusion are values that unite us all.
The highlight of this beautiful effort came on Sunday, June 1st, during a special celebration marking the Global Day of Parents, held at the park of Nea Filadelfia, in collaboration with the Municipality of Nea Filadelfia–Chalkidona, Iasis, and To Perivolaki.
The event, titled “BETTER TOGETHER”, brought us all closer through a variety of activities filled with laughter and emotion.
We shared the Bells of Friendship with the public, and together with our wonderful “buddies”, we hung them on the trees of the park, creating a magical atmosphere where each ringing bell reminded us that diversity is richness and acceptance is strength.
Passersby, families, children, friends, and partners stood with us, learned about our mission, embraced our effort, and became carriers of a powerful message:
Friendship knows no boundaries. It is built with respect, understanding, and genuine human connection.
It was a day we will never forget. A day when hearts united, voices echoed like bells, and the world became—if only for a moment—a brighter place.
We sincerely thank all those who stood by us, who participated, laughed, were moved, and helped us spread the simplest yet most powerful message:
Everyone deserves a friend. Everyone deserves to belong.
The Bells of Friendship 2025 initiative was supported for the first time by Elpedison, and thanks to this support, we were able to organize a wide range of inclusive workshops both within and outside of Attica.
