For the 7th year the biggest campaign for Friendship, will be happening in various spots in Athens, with the support of Genesis Pharma!
We are starting!
Saturday May 18 in cooperation with the social work and security department of the Municipality of Glyfada we will have the event for friendship and inclusion at the Poets Street (Grigoriou Lampraki and Metaxa street)
- 10.30-11.00 Attendance
- 11.00-11.30 Welcome and presentation of the non profit association, Disabilities, Inclusion and the importance of Friendship.
- 11.30 -12.30 Social Networking with the participants and hanging of the friendship bells in the area of Glyfada, fun and dancing.
Sunday May 26 you will find our team at the Kesariani Skopeutirio in cooperation with the volunteers of the events team for the area of Kesariani.
On Saturday June 1 we will attend the party of the opening of the new playground which is just next to the building of IDD persons in Argiroupoli, in cooperation with the Municipality of Argiroupoli and Ellinikon.
The “Friendship Bells” is a campaign for inclusion of friendships, with a symbolic character. The purpose of the campaign is to promote the mission of the association BB Greece, through the social contact, and the interaction of the participants – volunteers, persons with disabilities (on the autism spectrum, with intellectual and developmental disabilities and Down Syndrome). The campaign involves also weekly workshops from the start of each academic year until the date of hanging the friendship bells in various spots of the town. Each of the friendship bells is made very simple and exclusive way symbolizing the simplicity and together the idea of pure friendship.
Our goal is, via the power of volunteering, to make visible to a society of inclusion people who do not have a publicly visible disability. We invite everyone to join us in the hanging of Friendship Bells 2024 and, if someone finds a Friendship Bell with the Best Buddies Logo somewhere, don’t forget to follow the instructions written on it.
